Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Quality Control Analyst at Savvy Pharma, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our pharmaceutical products. Your key responsibilities include:
- Conducting chemical and physical analysis of products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Practicing Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for recording results and reporting to the Quality Control Manager.
- Following the Supervisor’s instructions to set up and perform analyses.
- Preparing materials and solutions for scheduled analytical procedures.
- Verifying results against specifications and generating accurate reports.
- Entering results into designated systems and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in all laboratory activities.
- Implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for instrument operation and calibration.
- Conducting investigations for Out-of-Specification (OOS), Out-of-Trend (OOT), and Out-of-Expectation (OOE) results under supervision, following in-house QC procedures.
- Applying knowledge of compendial quality control requirements (e.g., USP, EP, BP).
- Operating and troubleshooting QC instruments, including HPLC, Dissolution, and GC systems.
Job Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a Quality Control laboratory within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field from a reputable university.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical quality systems.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis methods and tools relevant to pharmaceutical applications.
- Excellent knowledge of cGMP and Good Documentation Practices.
- Familiarity with compendial standards (USP, EP, BP, etc.).
- Experience operating and troubleshooting QC instruments (e.g., HPLC, Dissolution, GC).
- Skills:
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
