Job Description for Pharmacist Positions
Qualifications
- M.Pharm or B.Pharm from a reputed university with an excellent academic background.
- Candidates with relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry are preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
- Fresh graduates with strong academic records are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with 1–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D, quality assurance, quality control, production, or validation will have an advantage.
- Familiarity with USFDA, MHRA, or other regulated environments is a plus.
Skills
Research & Development:
- Knowledge of formulation development, analytical method development, and process validation.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment like HPLC, GC, or NMR for analytical testing.
- Creative problem-solving and innovative thinking for drug delivery systems (e.g., tablets, injectables, lyophilized products).
Quality Assurance:
- Expertise in data review, compliance, and audit trail checks per 21 CFR Part 11 and 211 regulations.
- Familiarity with GMP coordination, In-Process Control (IPC), and training programs.
- Strong documentation skills for Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Quality Control:
- Hands-on experience with analytical instruments such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, and FTIR.
- Knowledge of stability studies, raw material testing, and finished product analysis.
- Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and data integrity standards.
Production:
- Proficiency in manufacturing processes for dosage forms like tablets, capsules, injectables, prefilled syringes, or lyophilized injections.
- Ability to operate production equipment and ensure GMP compliance.
- Strong organizational skills for batch record management.
Validation:
- Expertise in equipment qualification, process validation, cleaning validation, and method validation.
- Familiarity with Site Validation Master Plans and regulatory requirements.
- Analytical skills for validating processes and ensuring product quality.
Responsibilities
Research & Development:
- Develop and optimize formulations for new generics and advanced dosage forms (e.g., sustained-release tablets, prefilled syringes).
- Conduct method development, stability studies, and technical transfers to production and quality control.
- Support regulatory submissions with Common Technical Document (CTD) preparation.
Quality Assurance:
- Evaluate laboratory data for compliance and ensure data integrity in quality processes.
- Coordinate GMP training, perform routine GMP checks, and support audits.
- Manage QMS activities like CAPA, deviation, and change control.
Quality Control:
- Perform testing of raw materials, excipients, and finished products using HPLC, GC, and other analytical instruments.
- Conduct stability testing and ensure adherence to GLP and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and report discrepancies promptly.
Production:
- Oversee manufacturing of various dosage forms, including tablets, capsules, oral liquids, and injectables.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and GMP during production processes.
- Monitor batch records and troubleshoot operational issues.
Validation:
- Execute equipment, process, and cleaning validation protocols per the Site Validation Master Plan.
- Validate analytical methods and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Document validation activities and support regulatory inspections.
