Qualifications
- B.Pharm or M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, or related fields)
Experience
- 2-6 years in pharmaceutical formulation development
- Specific experience in:
- Topical: Creams, gels, ointments, or transdermal systems
- Parenteral: Sterile injectables, including solutions and suspensions
- OSD: Tablets, capsules, or coated pellets
CTC
- ₹3–6 LPA (based on experience and role)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize formulations for:
- Topical: Creams, gels, ointments, or transdermal patches
- Parenteral: Sterile injectables, including emulsions and lyophilized products
- OSD: Tablets, capsules, or modified-release formulations
- Conduct pre-formulation studies, stability testing, and scale-up trials
- Write and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP)
- Collaborate with analytical teams for method development and validation
- Document formulation data and prepare reports for regulatory submissions
- Support technology transfer to commercial manufacturing units
Key Skills
- Expertise in formulation development for Topical, Parenteral, or OSD forms
- Knowledge of GMP, GDP, and regulatory guidelines (CDSCO, USFDA, EMA)
- Familiarity with equipment like homogenizers, sterile filling lines, or tablet presses
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment
