As a Scientific Writer, you’ll be part of Sanofi Business Operations (SBO), a global powerhouse responsible for supporting Sanofi’s Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines, Consumer Healthcare, and R&D functions. Your role will be crucial in transforming complex scientific information into engaging, educational content for medical professionals and stakeholders across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will revolve around creating high-quality, specialized content. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Creating Medical Content: You’ll produce specialized materials like slide decks, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts. These materials will help communicate complex scientific findings in an easy-to-understand way for healthcare professionals.
- End-to-End Publication Support: You’ll be involved in the publication process from start to finish, ensuring that all materials are developed, documented, and approved in systems like PromoMats and iEnvision.
- Building Therapeutic Expertise: You’ll dive deep into therapeutic areas and become an expert, collaborating with peers to establish best practices for developing scientific communication content.
- Collaborating with Stakeholders: Your ability to manage relationships with the medical scientific community, healthcare professionals, and internal teams will be critical. You’ll ensure that the content meets the needs of global business units and products.
- Strategic Publication Support: You will also provide strategic support by collaborating with institutions and individuals who are resources for Sanofi’s publication efforts.
What You’ll Need
To excel in this role, you need more than just writing skills. Sanofi is looking for someone with the following qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in content creation within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Experience in academia is also welcome.
- Education: An advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a similar discipline, or a medical degree.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with publication submission, project management, and therapeutic area knowledge is highly valued.
- Soft Skills: Stakeholder management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team are essential.
- Language Skills: Exceptional proficiency in spoken and written English is a must.
