Role Highlights
- Conduct DNA and RNA extraction from various sample types (e.g., blood, tissue, environmental samples) using spin column or reagent-based methods.
- Perform PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and RT-PCR experiments, including primer design and optimization.
- Assist in developing and validating molecular diagnostic kits for infectious diseases.
- Maintain accurate documentation of experiments and ensure compliance with GLP standards.
- Support bioinformatic analysis, such as SNP analysis and sequence alignment, using tools like MEGA X and CLUSTALW.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to innovate diagnostic products, including antimicrobial resistance detection kits.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualifications: B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Tech., or M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related biological fields.
- Experience: 0-1 year (freshers with relevant training or internships preferred).
- Skills:
- Hands-on expertise in DNA/RNA extraction and PCR techniques.
- Familiarity with molecular biology tools (e.g., pipetting, gel electrophoresis).
- Basic knowledge of bioinformatics and data analysis is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Preferences: Exposure to USFDA-regulated lab environments, enthusiasm for infectious disease diagnostics, and willingness to learn CRISPR, cloning, or sequencing techniques.
- Work Location: Perambur, Chennai (on-site).
