Key Responsibilities
- Assign accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for outpatient E/M services, including office visits, telehealth, Transitional Care Management (TCM), and Chronic Care Management (CCM)
- Code preventive services, wellness visits, vaccinations, immunization administrations, and IV injections
- Apply appropriate modifiers and ensure compliance with National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) edits
- Perform laboratory coding for diagnostic tests
- Maintain coding accuracy (95%+ as per industry standards) and meet productivity targets
- Document coding decisions and support quality audits per CMS and payer guidelines
- Collaborate with coding supervisors to resolve coding queries
Desired Profile
- 1-2 years of experience in E/M outpatient coding, preferably for US clients
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, modifier usage, and NCCI edits
- Knowledge of preventive services, telehealth, TCM, CCM, and laboratory coding
- Strong understanding of CMS coding guidelines and payer policies
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good communication skills in English for client interactions
- CPC, COC, or equivalent coding certification (preferred)
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts
