Key Responsibilities
- Conduct formulation development for sterile (e.g., vials, ampoules, BFS) and non-sterile dosage forms (e.g., tablets, capsules) as per US, EU, Canada, Brazil, and ROW regulatory guidelines.
- Perform literature searches to identify prior art and formulation strategies.
- Execute pre-formulation studies to assess API physicochemical properties (solubility, stability, compatibility).
- Conduct compatibility studies with excipients and packaging materials.
- Support scale-up activities from lab to pilot and commercial manufacturing.
- Facilitate technology transfer to production sites, ensuring process robustness.
- Prepare documentation (e.g., PDR, validation protocols) for regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, QC, RA) to ensure CGMP compliance.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics or related field).
- Experience: 1–7 years in formulation development of sterile (injectables, parenterals) and/or non-sterile (OSD, liquids) dosage forms.
- Skills:
- Expertise in USFDA, EMA, ANVISA, and ROW regulatory guidelines.
- Proficiency in literature search using databases (e.g., PubMed, SciFinder).
- Hands-on experience with pre-formulation (solubility, pKa, DSC, FTIR) and compatibility studies.
- Knowledge of scale-up, process optimization, and technology transfer.
- Familiarity with QbD/DOE principles and analytical tools (e.g., HPLC, UV).
- Strong documentation and communication skills for regulatory compliance.
- Preferred: Experience in regulated market products (US, EU) and sterile manufacturing (BFS, glass injectables).
