Alembic Pharmaceuticals Drug Discovery team is seeking a motivated Chemistry Research Associate to support small molecule and macrocyclic peptide discovery programs. The role involves hands-on synthetic chemistry, purification, and analytical characterization in a fast-paced, collaborative research environment with global partnerships.
Chemistry Research Associate – Drug Discovery
- Department: Drug Discovery (Chemistry)
- Experience: 1 to 2 years
- Education/Qualification: B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Pharm / M.Pharm (Chemistry / Organic Chemistry)
Skills/Qualifications
- Strong expertise in modern synthetic organic chemistry and multi-step synthesis
- Hands-on experience with heterocyclic and metal-catalyzed reactions
- Proficiency in air- and moisture-sensitive reactions and pyrophoric reagents
- Skilled in chromatographic purification techniques including CombiFlash
- Experience interpreting HPLC, LC-MS, and NMR data
- Knowledge of peptide chemistry (advantage)
- Excellent documentation, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills
