BioPlus Life Sciences – Hiring Manager / Senior Manager – Medical Affairs (Eye Health)

BioPlus Life Sciences is hiring a Manager/Senior Manager – Medical Affairs to lead innovative projects in the field of eye health. This full-time position is based in Whitefield, Bangalore, and is ideal for professionals with 2-3 years of relevant experience in ophthalmology or medical affairs.

Key Responsibilities

Medical and Clinical Expertise

• Serve as the custodian of new treatment guidelines and medical updates in ophthalmology.
• Engage in Key Opinion Leader (KOL) management and engagement.
• Conduct and present virtual and physical CMEs, RTCs, conferences, and advisory board meetings.

Training and Education

• Prepare and deliver field force training (virtual and physical) with slide kits, Q&A sessions, and assessments.
• Continuously educate the field force through training programs and monographs.

Product and Market Development

• Participate in new product development and market assessment initiatives.

Clinical Research and Trials

• Manage clinical trials, including:
  • PMS (Post-Marketing Surveillance).
  • RWE (Real-World Evidence).
  • Statistical analysis, protocol writing, and budgeting.
• Oversee pharmacovigilance processes.

Medico-Marketing and Publications

• Write, review, and proofread articles for national and international journals.
• Prepare and approve medico-marketing collateral.
• Author slide decks, publications, and promotional content for medical professionals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Engage with cross-functional teams, including RA, QA, QC, R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Management.
• Set up systems and processes to improve coordination across functions.

Qualifications

• Education: M.B.B.S. or M.D. in Ophthalmology, Pharmacology, or Medicine.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Medical Affairs in a global pharmaceutical company or CRO.

Preferred Background

• Current or past experience in global ophthalmology companies such as:
  • Johnson & Johnson Vision
  • AbbVie Inc Eye
  • Alcon Vision / Eye Health
  • Cooper Vision
  • Bausch & Lomb
  • Roche
  • Novartis
  • Ora Clinical
• Previous clinical exposure in prestigious ophthalmology institutes like:
  • LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI)
  • Narayana Nethralaya
  • AIIMS Delhi
  • CMC Vellore
  • Sankara Nethralaya
• Experience in handling global ophthalmology clinical trials is an added advantage.
