Essential Qualifications & Eligibility
- Education: PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or AI/ML (PhD preferred; Master’s considered)
- Experience: 2-5 years in bioinformatics research or related fields
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or AI/ML
- Demonstrated experience in bioinformatics research with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Solid understanding of genomics and genetics
- Proficiency in data mining and advanced data analysis techniques
- Expertise in widely-used bioinformatics tools and software
- Proven ability to design and deliver effective bioinformatics training programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

- Knowledge of molecular docking tools (e.g., AutoDock, PyMOL) and advanced data analysis using R and Python
- Competence in phylogenetics, genomics, transcriptomics (e.g., Galaxy, Tophat), and functional annotation tools (e.g., DAVID, KEGG)
- Strong skills in data visualization, scripting, cloud computing, and database management systems (e.g., SQL)
Programming Skills
- Familiarity with programming languages and tools such as CADD, R, BioPerl, Biopython, BioJava, and MATLAB
AI/ML Skills
- Expertise in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model development using Python, R, and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn
- Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning methods (e.g., classification, clustering, deep learning), NLP for text analysis, image analysis, and time-series analysis
