Job Description
The Position
As a Pharmacovigilance Services Associate in Chennai, you’ll join Accenture’s Life Sciences R&D vertical, supporting the world’s leading biopharma companies. This role focuses on Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety Surveillance, ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements (e.g., ICH, GVP). You’ll manage adverse event cases, contributing to patient safety by connecting scientific expertise with patient insights.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, case processing, submission, and follow-ups for Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) in the safety database per client and regulatory guidelines.
- Handle the Affiliate Mailbox, reconcile reports, and perform written follow-ups for serious and non-serious cases.
- Solve routine problems using precedent and general guidelines, with detailed to moderate instructions from your supervisor.
- Work as an individual contributor within a team, focusing on a predetermined scope of work.
- Be prepared for rotational shifts as per business needs.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, or BSc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
Experience
0–2 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or related fields (e.g., drug safety surveillance, clinical research). Freshers with relevant academic exposure are also eligible.
Skills
Basic understanding of pharmacovigilance processes and drug safety regulations. Familiarity with safety databases and MedDRA coding is a plus. Proficiency in English for documentation and communication.
