Job Description
Aurigene Oncology is seeking talented clinical development professionals to lead early-phase oncology programs, including NCE/NBE and Cell & Gene Therapy initiatives.
This pivotal role in the Clinical Development department involves strategic leadership in IND-enabling activities, Phase 1/2 trials, and cross-functional collaboration to advance innovative cancer therapies.
Medical Lead/Manager/Sr. Manager – Clinical Development
- Department: Clinical Development
- Role: Clinical program leader for oncology/immune-oncology programs
- Experience: 2-5+ years in NCE/NBE clinical development (pharma/CRO)
- Education/Qualification: MBBS, MD in Clinical Pharmacology or relevant discipline
Skills/Qualifications
- Extensive experience in oncology, immune-inflammation, or immune-oncology clinical studies
- Proven track record as clinical leader and medical monitor in IND, Phase 1, and Phase 2/PoC settings
- Experience in Cell & Gene Therapy (desired)
- Ability to integrate translational research, clinical pharmacology, and PK approaches
- Strong knowledge of regulatory expectations (IND, IMPD, interactions with health authorities)
- Authored clinical development plans, protocols, IBs, and regulatory submissions
- Expertise in clinical trial budgeting, vendor/CRO selection, contracting, and project management
- Multi-disciplinary problem-solving and innovative strategy development
- Demonstrated leadership and influence in matrix environments
Key Responsibilities
- Lead clinical programs on project teams
- Develop expertise in disease areas and standards of care
- Drive indication selection and clinical development planning
- Draft and integrate IND/IMPD/TPP documents
- Author protocols, IBs, and regulatory submissions
- Identify and manage clinical trial vendors/CROs
- Forecast budgets and oversee trial execution
- Support go/no-go decisions and safety monitoring
- Engage clinical experts and advisory boards
