Scientist – Cell & Gene Therapy

Desired Profile
- Education & Experience:
- Ph.D. in Genetics or Epigenetics (related to Immunology/Immuno-oncology) with 1-2 years of relevant experience in academia and/or industry, OR
- M.Sc / M.Tech in Biotechnology with 8-9 years of relevant experience in academia and/or industry.
Technical Requirements
- Develop and validate new cell therapy products to advance them to the next stage.
- Leverage extensive experience with immune cells and a deep understanding of innate and adaptive immune systems.
- Design and deliver genes using viral (e.g., viral vectors) or non-viral transfer techniques.
- Utilize state-of-the-art molecular synthesis and cloning for viral vector construction.
- Apply gene-editing tools such as CRISPR/Cas9, TALEN, or others.
- Perform molecular biology techniques including cloning, sub-cloning, real-time PCR, and quantitative PCR.
- Multitask across multiple projects under tight timelines while maintaining integrity, accuracy, safety, and quality.
- Prepare and review protocols, reports, and regulatory documents; participate in compliance inspections and regulatory interactions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in sterile practices, work ethics, safety, health, and environmental systems.
Competencies
- Expertise in gene editing and molecular biology techniques.
- Proficiency in gene transfer methods (viral and non-viral) for cell line generation.
- Strong knowledge of Immunology/Immuno-oncology, genetics, and related assays.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills (prior experience with grants and research articles preferred).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, matrixed team environment.
