Key Responsibilities
- Synthesis:
- Synthesize novel bioactive molecules under scientist/senior scientist supervision
- Perform multi-step synthesis, including heterocyclic chemistry and metal-catalyzed reactions
- Handle air/moisture-sensitive reagents and conduct hydrogenations
- Characterization:
- Purify compounds using chromatographic methods (e.g., MPLC, column chromatography)
- Characterize compounds via spectroscopic techniques
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate lab notebooks per Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Record experimental procedures and results systematically
- Safety & Compliance:
Key Skills
- Basic knowledge of modern organic chemistry and synthetic methods
- Familiarity with heterocyclic chemistry, metal-catalyzed reactions, and multi-step synthesis
- Understanding of purification techniques (e.g., chromatography, recrystallization)
