Key Responsibilities

  • Synthesis:
    • Synthesize novel bioactive molecules under scientist/senior scientist supervision
    • Perform multi-step synthesis, including heterocyclic chemistry and metal-catalyzed reactions
    • Handle air/moisture-sensitive reagents and conduct hydrogenations
  • Characterization:
    • Purify compounds using chromatographic methods (e.g., MPLC, column chromatography)
    • Characterize compounds via spectroscopic techniques
  • Documentation:
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety, health, and environment (SHE) protocols
    • Follow GLP and CGMP standards in lab operations

Key Skills

  • Basic knowledge of modern organic chemistry and synthetic methods
  • Familiarity with heterocyclic chemistry, metal-catalyzed reactions, and multi-step synthesis
  • Understanding of purification techniques (e.g., chromatography, recrystallization)
  • Proficiency in spectroscopic characterization
