Role Overview – Medical Science Liaison (MSL)
The MSL acts as a vital scientific resource between the company and healthcare professionals, facilitating the exchange of cutting-edge scientific data and clinical insights in the therapeutic areas of diabetes and related conditions.
This role requires in-depth knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to nurture long-term professional relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct proactive scientific discussions and education with Thought Leaders (Doctors) on Bayer’s therapies and clinical data.
- Answer medical and scientific queries, including those related to study designs, data interpretation, and clinical guidelines.
- Represent Bayer at medical congresses and advisory board meetings to gather insights and provide expert support.
- Organize scientific training programs and strategy discussions aligning with Bayer’s medical affairs objectives.
- Identify and profile key medical experts to tailor engagement strategies effectively.
- Prepare detailed activity reports and monitor progress against goals.
- Provide additional scientific support and training as opportunities arise.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A degree in natural sciences or a medical qualification such as MD, MBBS, BAMS, BDS, or MDS.
- Solid foundation in diabetes, CKD, or heart failure therapy areas with an understanding of clinical trial methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and growth.
