Job Responsibilities
As the Mechanical Lead, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the technical domain of facility management, overseeing comprehensive infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and delivering mechanical infrastructure projects, including HVAC systems, clean and black utilities, cleanrooms, process and utility piping, firefighting systems, warehousing, and material handling.
- Leading engineering design, execution, and commissioning for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Ensuring compliance with global standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety regulations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality objectives.
- Providing technical expertise in troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical systems.
- Overseeing vendor management, procurement, and resource allocation to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in engineering design and project management within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proven expertise in managing HVAC, cleanrooms, utilities, piping, firefighting systems, warehousing, and material handling projects.
- Experience in both greenfield (new facility development) and brownfield (existing facility upgrades) projects.
- Strong knowledge of global engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
- Qualifications: BE, B.Tech, ME, or M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
