Job Responsibilities
The Associate Pharmacovigilance Specialist will:
- Monitor biomedical literature for adverse events reporting
- Perform indexing and abstracting of biomedical case reports and studies
- Summarize key findings in a precise and compliant manner
- Ensure adherence to drug safety and pharmacovigilance regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams in a hybrid setup
Education and Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biophysics, or Biomedical Sciences
- Degrees in Dentistry, Physiotherapy, or Nursing with hospital-based patient exposure are an added advantage
Experience Requirements
- 1–2 years of biomedical literature review for adverse event reporting OR equivalent experience
- Related experience in drug safety/pharmacovigilance is desirable
- Experience with commercial or client-specific biomedical databases is preferred
Skills Required
- Strong analytical and scientific writing skills
- Excellent English communication (reading, writing, speaking)
- Knowledge of biomedical terminology, drugs, and therapeutic areas
- Computer literacy and adaptability to client requirements
Preferred Additional Skills
- Certification from a professional medical writing association
- Background in scientific/medical writing
- Hands-on experience with biomedical databases
Work Hours
Monday to Friday – Hybrid mode
