Job Opportunity: Data Analyst – Medical Affairs

As a Data Analyst, you will partner with Medical Affairs and the Global Medical Affairs Organization (GMAO) to develop high-quality data reporting and visualization solutions, driving business impact through self-service analytics.

  • Experience: 7-9 years in data management, pharma market intelligence, performance reporting, or descriptive analytics

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build expertise in Lilly’s therapeutic area data sets to support data-driven decisions
  • Develop and maintain data lakes, insights, and dashboards for stakeholder use
  • Execute data operations, ensuring timely availability and quality through validations
  • Respond to internal stakeholder queries and meet operations SLAs
  • Perform incident resolution and root cause analysis for data/reporting issues
  • Deliver high-quality, insightful reports to enable strategic decisions
  • Create and publish execution dashboards aligned with business roadmaps
  • Provide descriptive analytics for planning, execution, and outcome insights
  • Collaborate with site-level teams to implement best practices

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in writing and debugging efficient SQL queries (mandatory)
  • Strong experience in Power BI or Tableau (Power BI preferred) for dashboard development
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Coding in R or Python (preferred but not mandatory)

Analytical Skills:

  • Experience in business analytics and data cleaning/preparation
  • Strong problem-solving, lateral thinking, and attention to detail

Additional Preferences:

  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Wrike, JIRA, Adobe Workfront)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, or Lucid Chart
  • Product launch experience and ability to work across time zones
  • Strong stakeholder management, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
