Internship Overview – Competitive Intelligence
As part of the LRL R&D Strategy team, the Competitive Intelligence Intern will support global teams by scouting, analyzing, and delivering actionable insights related to drug development, clinical trials, and competitive landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
- Data Surveillance: Scout and compile secondary data from open and subscribed databases to identify relevant pharma industry updates and competitive insights.
- Report Preparation: Assist in creating Target Reports (TR), Disease Landscapes (DL), and ad-hoc reports under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Conference Support: Help prepare conference agendas and upload materials for stakeholder use.
- Investor Relations Monitoring: Shadow team members during IR calls and upload related materials to SharePoint.
- Database Management: Regularly update internal databases to reflect current target and disease landscape information.
- Data Visualization: Use Excel and PowerPoint to present findings in a clear and impactful manner.
- Domain Familiarity: Apply a foundational understanding of drug development processes, clinical research, and pharmaceutical industry standards to inform analysis.
- Detail Orientation: Ensure accurate and timely capture of all intelligence data.
Required Skills and Expectations
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of clinical trials and pharma R&D workflows
- Analytical and data interpretation skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work across global time zones
- A proactive, inquisitive, and collaborative approach to team projects
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Postgraduate Degree in Pharmacy / Life Sciences / Biotechnology
- Candidates with M.E / M.Sc / M.Tech in Biotechnology, especially with Genetic Engineering or Immunology, are preferred
- Exposure to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) is an added advantage
