The Role: A Vital Part of Medical and Regulatory Affairs

This position is integral to our global medical content development and review team. You will provide critical medical and scientific expertise. The role involves a deep understanding of regulations and best practices for both promotional and non-promotional materials. A high level of attention to detail is paramount.

You will work across a wide range of therapeutic areas. These include oncology, rare diseases, immunology, cardiology, and many more. This role is perfect for someone who can quickly learn new and complex scientific topics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the scientific accuracy and integrity of various materials. This is a critical function that upholds our commitment to quality and compliance.

• Perform scientific data fact-checking and review of promotional and non-promotional materials.
• Ensure data is scientifically accurate, contextually correct, and presented in a balanced manner.
• Verify that claims are adequately supported by data and are consistent with the approved product label.
• Advise on the acceptability of references and the clinical relevance of claims.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure alignment with medical strategy.
• Partner with medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) team members to resolve any findings.
• Utilize document management platforms, such as Veeva PromoMats, for content review.
• Support the creation of content for Medical Affairs and Medical Information. This includes Scientific Response Documents, slide sets, and training materials.
• Contribute to the development and updating of SOPs, checklists, and style guides.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for candidates with a strong scientific background and relevant industry experience. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills.

Required Education and Experience:

• An advanced degree such as PharmD, Ph.D., BDS, MDS, or MBBS.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in document QC or scientific writing within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience conducting literature searches using tools like PubMed and Embase.

Key Skills and Abilities:

• Strong scientific and medical acumen with the ability to grasp complex therapeutic areas.
• A thorough understanding of medical terminology, clinical trials, and the drug development process.
• Exceptional attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Acrobat, and other relevant applications.
• A strong understanding of regulatory requirements concerning promotional and non-promotional materials.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix team setting.
• Agile learning ability to support multiple disease states and therapeutic areas.
