Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Clinical Data Specialist, you’ll ensure the quality and integrity of clinical trial data. Key responsibilities include:

Data Review: Conduct thorough reviews per Global Data Management Plans and SOPs to identify errors or inconsistencies.
Query Management: Generate, resolve, and track data queries to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Data Reconciliation: Perform aggregate data reviews by patient, site, or project to identify trends or safety issues.
Quality Control: Apply procedures to meet Fortrea and client quality standards.
Document Review: Assist in reviewing protocols, CRFs, and eCRFs for alignment with data plans.
System Development: Support creation and testing of data management systems, including edit checks.
Leadership: Potentially act as Lead Data Reviewer on small projects, overseeing data activities.
Mentorship: Coach staff on standardized data management processes.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Education: University/college degree in life sciences, health sciences, IT, or related fields. Equivalent experience equating to a bachelor’s degree is acceptable.
Experience: 4-6 years in clinical data management with knowledge of clinical trial processes.
Skills:
- Proficiency in data management tools and Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
- Knowledge of cGMP, ICH guidelines, and medical terminology.
- Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Preferred: 2+ years of EDC experience and familiarity with Fortrea’s SOPs.
