Position Details
- Role: Deputy Manager / Manager – Project (API Pharmaceutical Industry)
- Location: Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra
- Experience: 10+ years in API project management
- Education: B.E. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Department: API Projects
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead project teams to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery of API projects
- Detailed Engineering: Supervise mass/energy balance, equipment design, bill of materials (BOM), and layout preparation
- Technology Assessment: Evaluate new technologies and process improvements for facility modifications
- Scheduling & Coordination: Develop project schedules and coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, QA, engineering)
- Technical Review: Review critical documents such as P&ID, PFD, layouts, and equipment data sheets
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies
- Cost Optimization: Drive cost reduction and energy conservation initiatives
- Process Optimization: Lead efforts to improve yield, solvent recovery, and reduce batch cycle times
- Regulatory Adherence: Keep the team updated on cGMP and regulatory norms
- Training: Train team members on new technologies, GMP practices, and equipment qualifications
- Project Closure: Manage and close plant modifications post-project completion
Required Skills
- Proven experience in managing API projects in a pharmaceutical or chemical plant
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, USFDA, WHO-GMP, and ICH Q7A guidelines
- Expertise in process engineering, equipment design, and project scheduling
- Familiarity with P&ID, PFD, and technical documentation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
- Ability to drive cost-saving and process optimization initiatives
