Position Details: Assistant Manager – Digital Manufacturing & Automation
Department
Manufacturing (Plasma Fractionation Centre)
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation/Computer Science) or related field
Experience
- 6–10 years in biotech/pharmaceutical industry, with at least 6 years in PAS-X MES implementation
Key Responsibilities
- Lead MES and Automation teams for efficient project execution.
- Drive PAS-X MES implementation across design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Oversee integration of PAS-X MES with shop floor equipment and ERP for seamless data exchange.
- Manage Level 2 integration with systems like GE iFix SCADA, Kepware OPC, Siemens PLC, and SCADA.
- Perform PLC and SCADA programming, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain PAS-X MES recipes and recipe authoring processes.
- Provide technical leadership, fostering continuous improvement and collaboration with IT, engineering, operations, and QA teams.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven expertise in PAS-X MES implementation in pharmaceuticals.
- Proficiency in integrating MES with shop floor equipment and ERP (e.g., SAP).
- Hands-on experience with GE iFix SCADA, Kepware OPC, Siemens PLC, and automation/historian technologies.
- Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA programming, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with equipment maintenance and MES recipe lifecycle management.
- Understanding of GMP and FDA regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Preference for candidates with digital manufacturing and automation experience in biotech/pharma.
