Position Overview
The Medical Affairs Head leads the medical affairs function for Johnson & Johnson’s Innovative Medicine in India. This role drives medical strategy, ensures compliance, and supports patient-centric solutions as part of the country management team.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Medical Planning
- Develop and implement Medical Country Strategic Plans aligned with global objectives.
- Provide medical insights for business planning and resource allocation.
- Monitor medical spending and project costs.
Leadership and Operations
- Oversee execution of medical plans for disease and brand objectives.
- Approve public presentations, media, and promotional materials for compliance.
- Lead internal review of company and investigator-initiated studies.
Team Development
- Hire and develop qualified medical staff, fostering a high-performing team.
- Collaborate with HR to implement performance metrics and development plans.
- Promote cross-functional medical interactions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build scientific networks with key opinion leaders and local communities.
- Develop customer-centric strategies with business leaders.
- Provide expert medical input for regulatory submissions and crisis management.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure adherence to HCBI, SOPs, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, and Legal teams.
- Oversee patient safety reporting with the LSO team.
Qualifications
