The Position
As a Research Scientist or Sr. Research Scientist at Jubilant Biosys, you’ll be at the heart of innovation. Reporting to the Group Leader, you’ll be instrumental in synthesizing, purifying, and characterizing novel chemical entities crucial for drug discovery.
Your Key Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will be diverse and engaging. You’ll:
- Lead and Innovate: Manage a team of 3-8 chemists, guiding them through the synthesis and characterization of chemistry intermediates. Your leadership will be pivotal in delivering both small and large quantities of novel chemical entities.
- Drive Projects Forward: Collaborate closely with your team to push chemistry projects to new heights, ensuring timely and effective progress.
- Ensure Safety and Excellence: Uphold the highest standards of safety in the lab, applying your extensive knowledge of organic chemistry and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges.
What You Need to Succeed

- A Strong Foundation in Organic Chemistry: Your deep understanding of both basic and advanced organic chemistry will be crucial. You should be well-versed in functional group conversions, multi-step synthesis, and retrosynthetic analysis.
