Role and Responsibilities
- Lead process scale-up and media optimization for microbial fermentation projects.
- Oversee production of animal-free proteins and small molecules using yeast or bacterial systems.
- Foster collaboration with downstream, analytical, and quality teams to meet project milestones.
- Manage and mentor a team of scientists to drive R&D excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: M.Sc/M.Tech in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Lifesciences; or Ph.D. in Lifesciences, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry
- Experience:
- M.Sc/M.Tech: 10–15 years in microbial fermentation and process scale-up
- Ph.D.: 4–6 years in similar roles
- Skills:
- Expertise in microbial fermentation for proteins and small molecules
- Proficiency in process scale-up and media optimization techniques
- Proven team management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Preference: Experience in cGMP-compliant biopharma or biotech environments
