Job Description for Production Injectable Roles
Qualifications
- B.Pharm, M.Sc (Chemistry, Microbiology), B.Sc (Chemistry, Biotechnology), ITI (Fitter, Electrician), or Diploma (Mechanical, Electrical, Pharmacy) from a recognized institution.
- Strong academic background in pharmaceutical sciences or related technical fields.
Experience
- 1–5 years in injectable manufacturing within a pharmaceutical formulation environment, preferably in USFDA, EU GMP, or WHO GMP-regulated plants.
- Specific experience in batch/bulk manufacturing, CIP/SIP processes, aseptic filling, or visual inspection for injectables.
Skills
Batch/Bulk Manufacturing Officers:
- Expertise in Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Sterilize-in-Place (SIP) processes for injectable manufacturing.
- Proficiency in batch manufacturing and bulk manufacturing of injectable liquids, dry powder injections, or eye/ear drop bulk.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and QMS activities (e.g., Deviation, CAPA, Change Control).
- Familiarity with equipment like compounding vessels, autoclaves, and filtration systems.
- Ability to prepare batch manufacturing records (BMR) and maintain GMP-compliant documentation.
Aseptic Officers:
- Hands-on experience in aseptic area filling for vials, ampoules, or pre-filled syringes.
- Skills in vial/ampoule washing, depyrogenation, aseptic processing, visual inspection, and stickering.
- Familiarity with Class 100 (ISO 5) cleanroom operations and sterile gowning procedures.
- Knowledge of GMP and SOP compliance in aseptic environments.
- Experience with visual inspection machines and Track and Trace systems is a plus.
General Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting skills for equipment and process issues.
- Proficiency in SAP or ERP systems for production documentation (preferred).
- Good communication skills for cross-functional coordination with QC, QA, and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Batch/Bulk Manufacturing Officers:
- Execute batch manufacturing and bulk manufacturing of injectable products, ensuring compliance with GMP and SOPs.
- Perform CIP and SIP operations for manufacturing equipment to maintain sterility.
- Prepare and review BMR, batch production records (BPR), and GMP documentation.
- Monitor critical process parameters during manufacturing of injectable liquids or dry powders.
- Coordinate with QC and Engineering teams for smooth operations and troubleshooting.
- Support regulatory audits by maintaining audit-ready documentation.
Aseptic Officers:
- Operate and maintain aseptic filling lines for vials, ampoules, or pre-filled syringes in Class 100 cleanrooms.
- Perform vial/ampoule washing, depyrogenation, aseptic filling, and visual inspection of finished products.
- Conduct stickering and ensure compliance with Track and Trace requirements.
- Adhere to sterile gowning and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination.
- Document activities in batch records and ensure GMP compliance.
- Support line clearance, equipment cleaning, and environmental monitoring in aseptic areas.
