Program Overview
The EMPOWER Program is a structured pathway that integrates practical training, academic learning, and career development, tailored for Goan youth aspiring to excel in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Duration:
- 1-Year NAPS Training: Apprenticeship under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)
- 3-Year B.Sc. Program: Enrollment in a B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology in partnership with an academic collaborator
Location: Marksans Pharma Ltd., Plot No. L-82, L-83, Verna Industrial Estate, Verna, Goa 403722
Eligibility Criteria:
- Completed 12th grade in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics) or equivalent qualification
- Open to Goan youth (proof of residency may be required)
Stipend: Monthly stipend provided during NAPS training and academic program
Practical Training:
- Rotational exposure across departments, including production, quality control, and packaging
- Hands-on training in pharmaceutical processes like granulation, compression, coating, and aseptic operations
- Familiarity with cGMP standards and equipment such as RMG, FBD, and blister packing machines
Job Opportunities:
- Potential employment with Marksans Pharma upon program completion, based on performance and available vacancies
