Job Description
Merck is recruiting for two exciting full-time roles in Bangalore within its Life Science operations. These positions offer hands-on involvement in packaging, quality control, and reference materials, aligned with global standards like ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and ISO 17034.
Packing Executive
- Department: Packaging / Operations
- Role: Packing Executive (Full-Time)
- Market: Life Science Chemicals Packaging
- Experience: 6 months–2 years in packaging (pharma/biochemistry background)
Analyst – Quality Services
- Department: Quality Services
- Role: Analyst (Full-Time)
- Market: Certified Reference Materials & Analytical Standards
- Experience: 1 year in scientific laboratory
Skills/Qualifications
- Any Graduation Degree with pharma/biochemistry packaging experience (Packing Executive)
- Awareness of chemical hazards, PPE requirements, safe handling/disposal methods
- Basic math skills including metric system; semi-automated equipment handling
- Strong eye-hand coordination and tool dexterity
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (Analyst)
- Proficiency in analytical techniques (GC, HPLC) and chromatographic detectors
- Basic understanding of organic/analytical/process chemistry
- Initiative, critical thinking, strong verbal/technical writing skills
- Proficiency in software tools (databases, spreadsheets, chromatographic software)
Key Responsibilities
Packing Executive:
- Coordinate with planning team for advance PO scheduling
- Accurately weigh hazardous/non-hazardous chemicals
- Verify safety equipment, calibration, and records
- Match lot numbers and obtain correct containers
- Weigh chemicals per packaging instructions with checks
Analyst – Quality Services:
- Collaborate on projects and support Quality programs
- Generate QC data and Certificates of Analysis
- Support release testing for reference materials
- Author documents for audits and stability studies
- Process/evaluate analytical data (primarily GC/HPLC)
- Operate chromatographic instruments and detectors
- Write reports, batch records, and test specifications
- Participate in technical transfers and training
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality systems
