Responsibilities in the Field

Primary sales refer to the company’s sales to distributors, while secondary sales relate to the distributors’ sales to retailers. You’ll be working closely with distributors and customers, managing relationships, and promoting Abbott’s wide range of products in various therapeutic categories, from women’s health to cardiology.
You will also take part in prescription audits, where you analyze which products doctors and chemists are recommending and selling, giving you valuable insights into your market. Additionally, you’ll be tasked with identifying potential new customers and distributors in your area, ensuring that the Abbott brand continues to grow and reach more people.
Achieving Sales Targets and Growing the Business
As a Territory/Therapy Business Manager, your key goal will be to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets by ethically promoting Abbott’s products. You will have science-based discussions with doctors and chemists to ensure they are fully informed about Abbott’s offerings and how they benefit patients.
You’ll also be in charge of organizing Camps (CME) as part of Abbott’s marketing strategy. These camps are important for engaging directly with doctors and customers, providing a platform for product promotion and gathering feedback. Moreover, you’ll support the launch of new products by identifying target customers, ensuring smooth product promotion, and keeping Abbott ahead of the competition.
Brand Management and Visibility
A key part of your job is to make sure that Abbott’s products are prominently displayed in chemist shops. This visibility is crucial for sales growth, and you’ll achieve this by planning and attending Retail Meets and Market Blitz events.
