Key Responsibilities
- Perform medical review of complex Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) including clinical trial, literature, and combination product cases
- Write Pharmacovigilance/MAH comments and assess company causality
- Review seriousness, listedness/expectedness, and provide medical inputs to case processing teams
- Conduct medical monitoring activities, review Data Management listings, and sign-off adverse event reports
- Support literature review, signal management, and aggregate report activities
- Prepare CSR narratives and provide medical guidance to PV and study teams
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in assigned therapeutic areas and mentor junior physicians
- Support audits, inspections, bid defense meetings, and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, GVP, and global regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- MBBS / MD or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized medical school
- Completion of basic training in clinical medicine (internship/residency)
Experience:
- Significant experience in pharmacovigilance / drug safety / medical monitoring
- Strong clinical medicine background with up-to-date knowledge
- Experience in case medical review, especially complex cases
- Therapeutic area expertise and mentoring experience preferred
Skills:
- Excellent medical judgment and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal and client-focused approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications
- Ability to work independently and in a matrix environment
- Flexible attitude with strong attention to detail
