Role Overview: Area Sales Manager in Patna & Nepal
Lead sales strategies for Piramal’s consumer healthcare products. Drive growth in OTC and FMCG markets across Patna and Nepal.
- Business Unit: Piramal Consumer Healthcare
- Department: Sales
- Locations: Patna, India, and Nepal
- Qualification: Graduate + MBA/PGDBM
- Experience: 4–10 years in FMCG/OTC/Pharma sales, with expertise in managing large sales teams
Key Skills Required
- People and team management
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Proficiency in sales forecasting and data analysis
Key Responsibilities
Drive Business Strategy & Processes
- Develop and execute business strategies for market expansion.
- Set realistic sales targets based on territory potential.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly forecasts and analyze performance data.
- Resolve customer complaints, coordinating with HO teams (Brand, Supply Chain, Finance, HR).
- Enable field teams (TSO/TSI/SO) with joint fieldwork, schemes, and POS/POP materials.
Infrastructure Management
- Build efficient distribution networks by appointing distributors.
- Maintain optimal stock levels and ensure timely billing and collections.
- Oversee CFA (Carrying and Forwarding Agent) management for smooth operations.
Team Handling & Development
- Coach and mentor team members to align with business goals.
- Drive incentive achievement through effective team enablement.
- Ensure timely reporting in prescribed formats.
- Support induction, on-the-job training, and competency-based recruitment with Zonal HR.
