Job Description
The Senior Research Associate/Research Scientist role requires a strong foundation in assay biology and expertise in small-molecule drug discovery. Candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Qualifications
- M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Biotechnology or Biochemistry.
Experience
- 1-8 years of experience in the Contract Research Organization (CRO) industry.
- Knowledge of small-molecule drug discovery in a CRO or drug discovery company.
- Broad research experience in developing cell-free and cell-based assays, including Fluorescent Imaging Plate Reader (FLIPR), TR-FRET/HTRF, Fluorescence Polarization (FP), absorbance, Luminescence/Electrochemiluminescence (ECL), Alpha Screen, Dissociation-Enhanced Lanthanide Fluorescent Immunoassay (DELFIA®), NanoBRET, Flow Cytometry, high content imaging, and Live Cell Analysis.
- Strong expertise in assay miniaturization from 96-well to 384-well to 1536-well formats for both cell-free and cell-based assays.
Skills Required
- Ability to manage time-bound and service-based projects efficiently.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong technical knowledge.
- Understanding of basic molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry experiments is an advantage.
