Job Description

CDSCO seeks a Senior Scientific Officer for its CDTL Chennai to oversee drug testing, standardization, and research. This Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial role supports regulatory functions in pharmaceutical quality control.

Senior Scientific Officer

• Department: Central Drugs Testing Laboratory (CDTL)
• Role: Conduct drug testing, standardization, and research activities
• Experience: 5 years
• Education/Qualification: Master’s degree in relevant scientific field

Skills/Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Bacteriology, Medicine, Microbiology, or Biotechnology from a recognized university
• Five years’ experience in drugs testing, standardization, and research
• Desirable: Doctorate in any of the above fields
• Officers holding analogous posts or with 5 years in Level 10 (Rs. 56100-177500)
• Age limit: Not exceeding 56 years as on closing date
• Departmental candidates in Level 10 with required qualifications considered for promotion
