Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies for biologics CDMO services in Europe, targeting monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, and ADCs
- Build and maintain relationships with European biotech and pharmaceutical companies to secure contracts
- Lead negotiations for CDMO contracts, including fee-for-service, clinical supply, and commercial manufacturing agreements
- Oversee client interactions from lead generation to project onboarding, ensuring alignment with cell line development, upstream/downstream processes, and drug product (DP) fill-finish
- Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, manufacturing, QA) to ensure client requirements meet cGMP and regulatory standards (EMA, USFDA)
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the European biologics market to identify opportunities
- Represent Shilpa Biologicals at industry events, such as BIO Europe and CDMO Live (May 7-8, 2025, Rotterdam), to enhance brand visibility
Desired Profile
- 10-15 years of experience in CDMO or biopharma business development, with a focus on biologics
- Proven track record of closing CDMO contracts in Europe, preferably for biologics or biosimilars
- In-depth knowledge of biologics development, including cell line development, upstream/downstream processing, and DP fill-finish
- Strong understanding of EMA regulations, cGMP, and European biopharma market dynamics
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment
- MBA or business/marketing qualification is a plus
