- Position: Leadership Position – Process Chemistry
- Location: Bangalore Biocon Research Centre (BBRC), Bangalore, India
- Qualification: Ph.D./Post-Doc in Organic Chemistry
- Experience: 10+ years in chemical process development with a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company

Key Responsibilities
- Lead chemical process development for APIs and pre-clinical/clinical candidate molecules
- Oversee process design, optimization, and scale-up using advanced technologies (e.g., flow chemistry, QbD)
- Manage a large team of qualified scientists and chemical engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation
- Ensure process safety through risk-based assessments (e.g., HAZOP, FMEA, LOPA)
- Support regulatory filings with robust scientific data and compliance with global standards (USFDA, EMA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrated CMC strategies for drug development
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Requirement: Ph.D./Post-Doc in Organic Chemistry
- Experience: 10+ years in process chemistry, focusing on API development and scale-up
Skills:
- Expertise in process development, optimization, and scale-up technologies
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- In-depth knowledge of process safety practices (e.g., CCPS, risk-based safety)
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for pre-clinical and clinical candidates
- Proficiency in modern tools like flow chemistry, QbD, and DOE
