Role and Responsibilities

As a Junior Research Fellow, you will contribute to a project focused on understanding the role of pregnancy zone protein in breast cancer, leveraging high-throughput genomic data analyses. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research under the project’s objectives, focusing on tumor-associated functions.
  • Analyzing high-throughput genomic data using tools like R and Python.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advance cancer biology insights.
  • Documenting findings and maintaining compliance with research protocols.

Qualifications and Experience

To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: M.Sc. in Life Sciences (or related fields such as Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry) with at least 60% marks. Note: One-year M.Sc. courses are not eligible.
  • Experience: CSIR-UGC NET or GATE qualification is mandatory. Experience in R, Python programming, and high-throughput genomic data analysis is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, data analysis, and research documentation.
  • Eligibility Note: Result-awaited candidates are not eligible to apply. Selected candidates must join promptly.

Salary and Duration

  • Consolidated Salary: ₹48,100/- per month (₹37,000/- + 30% HRA).
  • Duration: Six months, extendable based on work progress and performance evaluation.
  • Additional Benefits: Access to in-house medical facilities and local transport services. Limited hostel accommodation may be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
