Educational Qualifications
- Required: MBBS or MD degree
- Strong knowledge of medical regulatory and pharmacovigilance processes
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct medical reviews of clinical, solicited, and spontaneous cases, including literature articles.
- Assess case seriousness, coding, and causality (including company causality statements).
- Review narratives, AE/SAE terms, suspect drugs, concomitant medications, lab data, and medical history.
- Maintain expertise in disease biology and safety concerns for marketed and developmental drugs.
- Ensure compliance with global/local SOPs, TCS policies, and regulatory timelines.
- Support drug safety teams with medical insights and quality data processing.
- Represent the safety physician team in internal/client safety forums and audits.
- Handle queries/comments in the Patient Safety database and generate medically relevant follow-ups.
- Provide product advice for Suspected Unexpected Serious Adverse Reactions (SUSAR).
Desired Skills
- Expertise in medical regulatory processes and pharmacovigilance.
- Proficiency in case assessment, coding, and causality analysis.
- Strong understanding of adverse event (AE) and serious adverse event (SAE) reporting.
- Familiarity with global safety databases and compliance standards.
