Research Assistant
- Departments: Cell and Molecular Biology, Microbiology
- Location: CRMAS, Kailas Gardens, TC 19/1962, KRRA 31, Keshavadev Road, Poojapura PO, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala 695012
Eligibility:
- Qualification: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related fields
- Experience: Freshers or candidates with 0–2 years of research experience
Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of cell culture, molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, gel electrophoresis), or microbial assays
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and documentation
- Enthusiasm for research, problem-solving, and teamwork
- Knowledge of GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and conducting experiments in cell and molecular biology or microbiology
- Perform in-vitro assays, microbial limit testing, or molecular biology protocols under supervision
- Support data collection, analysis, and documentation for ongoing research projects
- Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and a clean workspace
- Contribute to interdisciplinary projects, such as biopesticide development or natural product research
