Eligibility
- Applicants must be residents of the Philippines
Qualifications
- Active Philippines or US Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient concurrent CDI experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Roles and Responsibilities
- Evaluate clinical documents using knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Collect and update medical information from healthcare providers.
- Verify patient medical data accuracy and obtain missing information.
- Facilitate physician documentation to reflect appropriate severity of illness (SOI) and risk of mortality (ROM).
- Query physicians for specific documentation using ICD-9 and ICD-10 standards.
- Conduct documentation education for general surgery residents to improve reporting accuracy.
- Clinically evaluate health records, including provider documentation, lab results, and treatment plans.
- Communicate with providers via discussions or formal queries to clarify documentation.
- Educate providers on disease processes impacting SOI, complexity, and acuity for accurate coding.
- Promote accurate documentation of diagnoses/procedures with healthcare team members.
- Demonstrate expertise in complications, comorbidities, SOI, ROM, and case mix impacts.
- Analyze documentation findings and develop action plans for process improvements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
