• Specialty: IP DRG Medical Coding

Job Role and Responsibilities:

• Assign diagnostic and procedural codes to patient medical records using coding classification systems such as ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS
• Analyze inpatient hospital services and medical documentation for accurate coding
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure compliance with coding guidelines
• Apply current coding standards and adhere to legal, regulatory, and organizational guidelines
• Conduct regular quality audits and support quality assurance processes
• Utilize coding software and maintain data accuracy for billing and reimbursement processes

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of IP DRG coding systems and inpatient medical coding processes
• Attention to detail with excellent analytical and interpretation skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers to resolve coding queries
• Proficiency in medical coding software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Understanding of healthcare compliance and privacy regulations such as HIPAA
