Job Opportunities: Medical Coder, Senior Medical Coder, and QA (Same-Day Surgery)

Contribute to accurate and compliant coding for same-day surgery procedures in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

• Department: Medical Coding
• Designations: Medical Coder, Senior Medical Coder, QA
• Qualification: Minimum Graduation in Life Sciences or Medical Sciences (e.g., B.Sc., M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Nursing, Pharmacy, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, BDS)
• Experience: 1-6 years in same-day surgery coding
• Certification: CPC or COC certification preferred
• Work Locations: Bangalore, Chennai, Trichy, Salem, Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day operations of same-day surgery coding
• Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT standards
• Review patient charts (physician notes, lab reports) to extract relevant information
• Ensure compliance with company coding policies and client requirements (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid)
• Meet productivity and quality service level agreements (SLAs)
• Conduct chart audits and quality checks for accuracy (QA role)
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation
• Prepare and maintain status reports for internal and client use
• Improve performance based on feedback from reporting managers

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
• Experience with same-day surgery coding (e.g., ambulatory surgery, outpatient procedures)
• Analytical skills for reviewing complex medical records
• Attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA and coding compliance
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
