Job Description for Quality Control Jobs
Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Chemistry, B.Pharm, or M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Analysis from a recognized institution.
- Strong academic background with a focus on analytical chemistry or pharmaceutical sciences.
Experience
- 2–6 years of hands-on experience in Quality Control within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, preferably in OSD facilities.
- Experience in USFDA, MHRA, or other regulated plants is highly desirable.
Skills
Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting analytical instruments, including:
- HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography)
- GC (Gas Chromatography)
- UV-Vis Spectrophotometer
- Dissolution Apparatus
- IR (Infrared Spectroscopy)
- Strong knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Expertise in analytical data review, method validation, method transfer, and stability studies.
- Familiarity with Out-of-Specification (OOS), Out-of-Trend (OOT) investigations, change control, and deviations.
- Competence in maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance with FDA, MHRA, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Good communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and stability samples using HPLC, GC, UV, Dissolution, and IR.
- Perform method validation, method transfer, and laboratory investigations to ensure product quality.
- Ensure compliance with GLP, GMP, and regulatory standards during testing and documentation.
- Review analytical data and investigate OOS, OOT, deviations, and other quality issues.
- Maintain accurate quality reports and documentation per industry standards.
- Support regulatory audits and contribute to continuous improvement in QC processes.
