Purpose of the Apprenticeship – Collection Executive:
The Collection Executive will be responsible for collecting overdue amounts from delinquent customer accounts allocated to them. The role involves maximizing collections as per the targets set by the VFS India Collections Head while ensuring a balanced customer service experience. The Collection Executive will also be required to strictly adhere to the compliance policies and laws of India, maintaining accurate collection data in the official systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and follow up on collection for overdue accounts allocated.
- Visit customers and negotiate collection of overdue amounts while maintaining relationships and keeping track of market references.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, third parties (lawyers, collection agencies, repossession agencies).
- Monitor asset deployment and track its movement/utilization.
- Regularly monitor repayments, analyze delinquency causes, and report concerns timely.
- Resolve customer disputes and implement repossession of assets.
- Maintain the integrity of collection data and customer logs in the system.
- Update payments in the VFS system and ensure compliance with all processes.
- The role involves collections across all buckets and repossession duties.
Competencies and Skills:
- Strong willingness to learn and explore career opportunities in the financial services industry.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and maintain a high level of field connections.
- Knowledge of working in a process-driven organization.
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and the regional language of the state; additional languages are an added advantage.
