Job Opportunity: Research Associate – Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry
We are looking for passionate freshers or early-career professionals to join our Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge drug discovery projects, from exploratory phases to lead optimization, in a cGMP-compliant environment.in.linkedin.com
Key Responsibilities
- Execute synthetic organic chemistry reactions to synthesize new chemical entities (NCEs) for drug discovery.
- Conduct literature searches and assist in designing synthetic routes for complex molecules.
- Perform route scouting, reaction optimization, and small-scale synthesis under non-GMP conditions.
- Document experimental procedures, observations, and analytical data in lab notebooks (handwritten or electronic).
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, cGMP standards, and data integrity policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analytical chemistry and process development, to support project goals.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic or Medicinal Chemistry preferred).
- Experience: 0–3 years (Freshers with strong academic records are encouraged to apply).
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry and analytical techniques (e.g., NMR, LCMS, HPLC).
- Familiarity with lab safety protocols and material safety data sheets (MSDS).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in literature search tools and structure-drawing software (e.g., ChemDraw).
