Job Opportunity: Trainee Research Scientist – Preclinical Department (Animal Studies)

We’re hiring freshers to support our preclinical research efforts in animal studies, working under experienced scientists to evaluate the safety and efficacy of small and large molecules for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical clients.

Key Responsibilities

Animal Studies:

• Assist in conducting in vivo studies (e.g., rodents, rabbits) for general toxicology, pharmacology, and DMPK
• Perform dosing (oral, IV, SC) and sample collection (blood, tissue, urine) under supervision
• Monitor animal health and behavior per AAALAC and CPCSEA guidelines

Data Collection & Analysis:

• Record observations and experimental data in compliance with GLP
• Assist in analyzing pharmacokinetic and toxicological data
• Support bioanalytical tasks using techniques like HPLC or LCMS

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate lab notebooks and study records per Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Prepare data summaries for study reports

Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to GLP, ICH, and CPCSEA guidelines
• Follow safety, health, and environment (SHE) protocols in vivarium and lab settings
• Participate in IAEC (Institutional Animal Ethics Committee) procedures

Support:

• Assist in animal facility maintenance (e.g., cage cleaning, environmental monitoring)
• Contribute to study design and protocol development under guidance

Key Skills

• Basic knowledge of pharmacology, toxicology, or zoology
• Familiarity with animal handling and dosing techniques (from coursework or internships)
• Understanding of GLP and AAALAC standards
• Proficiency in basic lab techniques (e.g., pipetting, sample preparation)
• Awareness of HPLC, LCMS, or bioanalytical methods
• Strong observational and documentation skills
