What You’ll Do

As a Clinical Research Associate, you’ll take on a pivotal role in clinical trial management. You will have the opportunity to work with both paper-based and electronic data through Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.

Key tasks include handling User Acceptance Testing (UAT), discrepancy reviews, data validation, and lab data entry. You’ll be expected to maintain high-quality standards throughout the process, performing data checks and ensuring that every detail of the trial meets the necessary regulations.

Beyond data management, you’ll also play a crucial role in tasks like Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reconciliations, interim data reviews, and database management. For those who like collaboration, you’ll get to guide other Clinical Data Associates and help coordinate their work on important projects.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you need to hold one of the following degrees: B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D, M.Sc., B.Sc. in Lifesciences or Biological Sciences. Your 2 to 4.5 years of clinical trial experience will give you a strong foundation in the industry, particularly if you’ve worked with Medidata Rave and have some exposure to therapeutic areas like Oncology, Cardiovascular, Neurology, Respiratory, Infectious Disease, and Gastroenterology.

Having proficiency in tools like Spotfire, SAE reconciliation, and query management will give you an edge in managing these trials efficiently. You’ll also need a solid understanding of ICH/Good Clinical Practices, medical terminology, and database management systems.
