Immugenix Biosciences Private Limited, a Chennai-based R&D company founded in 2018 by Dr. V. Naveen Kumar, is dedicated to simplifying infectious disease diagnostics through innovative molecular solutions. With expertise in microbiology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics, we develop PCR kits, DNA/RNA extraction kits, and other diagnostic tools.

We are hiring a Research Associate to join our team in Perambur, Chennai, to support our mission of advancing healthcare diagnostics.

Job Details

• Qualification: UG/PG degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related biological fields
• Experience: 0–1 year (freshers with relevant academic projects encouraged to apply)
• Expertise: DNA/RNA extraction and PCR techniques

Key Responsibilities

• Perform DNA and RNA extraction from various biological samples using spin column and reagent methods.
• Conduct PCR (including RT-PCR and Real-Time PCR) for diagnostic and research purposes.
• Assist in developing and validating molecular diagnostic kits (e.g., PCR kits, 16S rRNA kits).
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Support bioinformatics analysis for sequence alignment and SNP studies (training provided).
• Collaborate with the R&D team on projects related to infectious disease diagnostics.

Key Requirements

• Basic proficiency in DNA/RNA extraction and PCR techniques (hands-on experience through academic projects is acceptable for freshers).
• Knowledge of molecular biology techniques, such as primer design or gel electrophoresis, is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced research environment.
• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools (e.g., MEGA X, CLUSTALW) is an advantage but not mandatory.
